When you install a new air conditioner, you’re covered by manufacturer warranties. Each manufacturer and model will have different terms, but it’s important to register your system so you’re eligible to receive the full benefits.
Most manufacturers allow homeowners to register their air conditioner online and it only takes a few minutes. Before you begin, make sure to have the following information:
- serial number of the air conditioner
- date of the installation (please use your closing date)
- contact information of the installation company
| Where to Find Serial Number The serial and model number of your air conditioner is always on the unit, usually on the back of the condenser. When the system is installed, the HVAC company should also provide you with this information, either on the receipt or in a follow-up email. |
Once you’ve collected the information, head to the manufacturer website and follow the instructions to register your air conditioner. In addition to the above brand and installation information, most manufacturers will also ask you to provide your basic identification information including name, address and phone number.
Please note that there are often deadlines to register equipment. You could have up to 90 days, but it’s always best to register as soon as possible. We’ve provided quick links to register your new air conditioner below:
