3 Way to Keep the AC Running Efficiently

AC running efficiently

There are a few things you can do to keep your AC running efficiently throughout spring and summer. By taking a few preventive measures, you can save a lot of time and money later in the season.

Check Furnace Filters
Regularly check and change the furnace filter. The whole-home air conditioner uses the same filter as the furnace and it needs to be clear to keep the air conditioning running properly and efficiently. Some filters only last for 30-days, while others can be used up to six months, but we recommend homeowners check the filter every month to ensure that it doesn’t need to be replaced.

Clear Debris Around Condenser
To work effectively, the outdoor condenser needs room for air to freely circulate. Make it a habit to regularly check around the unit and clear any debris like fallen leaves, overgrown branches or brush that could be restricting air. This is especially important after a windstorm when there could be a build-up around the outdoor equipment.

Schedule an Annual Tune-Up
The best way to proactively keep your air conditioner operating efficiently is to have it professionally serviced every year. A cooling technician will inspect, check, and clean the AC to make sure that it is running efficiently while keeping your house cool and comfortable all summer long.

We’re now taking appointments for annual air conditioner maintenance.
