Rebates That Require A Home Energy Assessment
An initial home energy assessment is required before starting upgrades. A registered energy advisor will identify energy-saving opportunities. You’ll receive a $600 rebate to cover the cost of the initial and follow-up assessments upon program completion. If the property has tenants, the owner must apply. After the initial home energy assessment, you must complete at least two energy-saving upgrades to qualify for rebates:

Before beginning any work, complete an initial home energy assessment with a registered energy advisor from an approved Service Organization. Fill out the form below for a list.
2. GET A CUSTOM REPORT
See which upgrades are recommended for your home and choose at least two to complete.
3. COMPLETE 2+ UPGRADES
Have Team Harding complete the work!
4. SCHEDULE A FOLLOW-UP ASSESSMENT
After upgrades are installed, complete a final assessment with the same registered energy advisor.
5. RECEIVE YOUR REBATES
Your rebates will be sent after your energy advisor submits all required documents.

- To qualify for the Home Renovation Savings program, you must own your home.
- Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes and mobile homes on a permanent foundation.

There Are Two Main Types Of Heat Pumps
Cold Climate Air Source Heat Pumps
These transfer heat to and from your home using the air. Designed to operate in temperatures as low as -30°C, cold climate air source heat pumps are ideal for colder climates and are the most popular option in Canada.
Ground Source Heat Pumps
These transfer heat using the ground. With more stable and warmer underground temperatures in winter, ground source heat pumps are more efficient than other types at lower temperatures. They may be best suited for properties with enough space for underground loops.
HOW TO QUALIFY
To qualify for a heat pump rebate, you must:
Own the home where the heat pump will be installed. If the home has tenants, the owner must apply.
Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account, heating your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler, OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home electrically.
Live in a single-detached, semi-detached, row house, townhome, or mobile home on a permanent foundation. New builds (homes occupied for six months or less) do not qualify.

I am very happy with my purchase and the fireplace installation. My wife and I have used it multiple times since it was installed and it works exactly as advertised. It turned a cold room in to a... comfy room that we thoroughly enjoy.My wife and I were leaning towards purchasing a fireplace with high BTU output and a fan. The team at Harding pushed back, and said we would be too hot. I appreciate their honesty. Consider they gave up a bigger sale.The installers (James + Adam) were thorough, neat and patient answering our many questions. I told them that my former wood fireplace had an ice-cold hearth. I asked them why, and they showed me that the original fireplace was not assembled correctly; it allowed cold air to come down around the fireplace, especially the hearth. It was awful. I really appreciated how they sealed the leak and added insulation. The problem was eliminated.The finishing team (Brandon and colleague) were also meticulous. They did not rush the job. I was out of town during the finishing and they suggested WhatsApp video calls, which worked very well and allayed my concerns.I would especially like to acknowledge Kirsten Neumarker. She is the project coordinator at Harding who schedules resources to install and finish fireplaces. She is very organized and is an excellent communicator. She reached out to me proactively and worked hard to accommodate my schedule also. She would often answer my emails and phone calls in minutes. I find this uncommon among contractors. I changed the rate because the reaction from site office is extremely satisfy. I have no heat during the weekend and complained. I got a respond very quickly from their site office and find out the... reason of no respond. Then a new appoint was scheduled right way! Also a report has been filed towards this issue and I believe communication will be taken to improve future services. I really like this manner! We had an issue with our furnace fan and I spoke to Natasha Wright (Service Coordinator) who first tried to troubleshoot the problem with me to... save costs, etc. Once that didn't work, a technician, Marc Gagon, attended. He quickly diagnosed the problem (faulty control board), but didn't stop there. He investigated the source - water under the AC coils. Further, he went outside to ensure the A/C unit was working properly. Marc Gagon is very professional, competent and took the time to explain things.
